SAS Robert-Renard is in the middle of the large leaf spinach season. The demand is still good but the product is becoming more rare, as a result of the weather. “Unfortunately, the productions have been strongly affected by the alternation between high temperatures and stormy rains, and the quality has suffered. This requires a lot of sorting for the producers. Normally, the product sells quite well almost all year round and we mostly work locally,” explains Pierre Blin. The situation is similar for other products such as the lamb’s lettuce which has suffered from the bad weather as well.
