SaniFruit joins the Ailimpo Advisory Committee.

SaniFruit joins the Interprofessional Advisory Committee, which will allow optimal solutions in the room of post-harvest treatments to improve competitiveness.

SaniFruit has formalized its incorporation into Ailimpo as a member of the Interprofessional Advisory Committee. The aim of this the relationship is generating synergies and mutual knowledge for the benefit of the Spanish lemon and grapefruit sector in the field of post-harvest treatments. These treatments are essential to guarantee the consumer a product of the highest quality and food safety. The Ailimpo Advisory Committee was established in 2016, as an advisory body. Ancillary companies, research centers and other entities linked to our sector can be part. Ailimpo was the first Spanish interprofessional to develop this consultative role with the aim of responding to the new challenges of the sector that require generating knowledge and continuous improvement for the benefit of the sector.

In the words of Mr. José Antonio García, Director of Ailimpo , the incorporation of SaniFruit into Ailimpo "is a firm step to be able to share concerns in the lemon and grapefruit sector. This collaboration will improve communication, detect needs, and implement solutions to the challenges of the sector that are to offer the highest quality fruit to consumers"

On the other hand, AILIMPO also stands out as a fundamental in this collaboration that "both entities, Ailimpo and SaniFruit, share the same vision for the future based on principles of sustainability, environmental respect and value adding generation"

SaniFruit, based in Chiva – Valencia, is a company specialized in post-harvest treatments, known as "chem-free" or "zero residues", with a special know-how in citrus.

Javier Biel (1987), SaniFruit CEO emphasizes that "to collaborate with Ailimpo is major step for our company, since we share the vision of bringing healthy and residue-free fruits to the market, in response to the needs of consumers. This collaboration will allow us to better understand the specific needs of the sector itself, offer our post-harvest solutions to companies and help them achieve their objectives in the markets, which are increasingly demanding."

Last season more than 1.4 MTm of citrus fruits have been treated with SaniFruit products. Exports implies an ever increasing 20% of turnover.
