Karlsruhe exhibition duo expoSE and expoDirekt on 18 and 19 November 2020

Anniversary edition starts with many Corona protection measures

The asparagus season is drawing to a close and has so far gone better than expected, thanks to the entry of harvest workers and good demand for asparagus and strawberries. Under these conditions and in view of the mostly declining numbers of Covid-19 infected people in Europe, the Association of South German Asparagus and Strawberry Growers (VSSE) will organise the expoSE - Europe's largest meeting place for the asparagus and berry industry - and expoDirekt - Germany's largest trade fair for direct agricultural marketing - as planned at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre from 18 to 19 November 2020.

"In the extreme situation of the Corona crisis, asparagus and berry growers nevertheless mastered or are mastering the harvest. Direct marketing with stable and good prices has made a significant contribution to the fact that most farms have got through the season well. Now it is important to present the growers at the trade fair duo with innovations that will simplify their daily operations and further reduce the need for personnel", explains Simon Schumacher, spokesman of the board of the Association of South German Asparagus and Strawberry Growers. (VSSE) and organiser of both  trade fairs.

Exhibitors at last year's expoSE

Pre-registration online
The Association of Asparagus and Strawberry Growers of Southern Germany (Verband Süddeutscher Spargel- und Erdbeeranbauer e.V.) is responsible for organising the fair using Corona virus protective conditions. (VSSE) is in close contact with the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre. Narrow aisles between the stands are avoided, and visitor guidance is designed so that it is easy for exhibitors and visitors alike to keep to the distances. It is expected that advance online registration will be necessary for exhibitors and visitors.

In addition to all this, expoSE is actually celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and expoDirekt its 10th anniversary this year. On this occasion, all trade visitors under the age of 25 will receive free admission to the trade fairs.
