The Val Venosta Cauliflower will be available from the beginning of June

"Approximately 3,700 tons of cauliflower will be harvested this year by the growers who are members of the VIP Consortium," commented the sales manager for the vegetable sector Reinhard Ladurner.  "We are in line with last year's numbers. The cauliflower seedlings planted by the farmers and with whom we planned to ensure a continuous production season, will allow us to serve our customers from the beginning of June until around October.

The cauliflower of the Val Venosta, which is the most popular among the numerous mountain vegetables, currently covers 95% of the vegetable production in the valley and benefits from a unique microclimate, poor in rainfall and mitigated by the cool, dry nights in South Tyrol.

"If the weather on the pre-harvest days is warm and sunny," said Ladurner, "we will obtain a product of excellent quality, worthy of best Val Venosta quality!"

"The constant pursuit of superior quality is what sets us apart, and it is the result of a journey that we have been pursuing for some years now," continued Ladurner, " together with the Reparto Qualità VIP (VIP Quality Department) with which we study, develop and optimise both training and quality control methods, offering farmers increasingly innovative and improved cultivation strategies".

"There are good expectations for the season. The only challenge here will be the demand for the product and we will find this out only at the beginning of the campaign and it will be influenced by several factors, including first of all the availability of the product. The Italian market will absorb almost the entire seasonal production and will still be able to rely on a professional and personalized Top Class service to be delivered (at least one pallet) within 24 hours after the cut - concluded Ladurner - Our cauliflower will be available all over Italy both in the main fruit and vegetable markets and in the organized distribution and large-scale retail trade through a widespread sales network".

VIP confirms its commitment to excellent crops and a trusted distribution partner able to offer customized solutions and first class service.
