"We go where the people shop"

The Lehmann Natur company is a producer and supplier of organic fruit and vegetables. Its products come from all over the world, with a focus on Southern Europe and Central and South America, but they are also sourced from Asia, Africa and Australia - and from Germany itself. They are sold from the warehouse in Korschenbroich and are taken throughout Europe. However, the largest share -some 90 percent- is being sold in Germany.

But not only to organic supermarkets and health food stores, but also at discounters and large food retailers. "We're here for everyone," the managing director, Raphael Kennerknecht, told RP Online, "We go where the people shop."

Controls organic farming methods
After all, the company has an annual turnover of 133 million euros. Lehmann Natur relies on permaculture for its production. This is a sustainable concept for agriculture based on following the cycles in nature. "We produce exclusively within the framework of controlled ecological cultivation methods", one underlines. About five percent of the annual turnover is produced in-house.
