Alcampo launches a range of creams and soups made with discarded vegetables

In the framework of Alcampo's fight against food waste, the retailer has introduced a range of dehydrated vegetable creams and soups made with agricultural products that, due to their size, shape, or appearance, would be discarded from the supply chain. In this way, it is possible to recover 10% of the vegetables that are usually thrown away.

The supplier of this product is Tabuenca, a company that has its own cultivated fields, as well as a dehydrator, in the Segovian town of Cuéllar. The dehydration process is carried out by applying heat to remove the water without altering the benefits or properties of the vegetables and giving the final product a long shelf life.

This new range includes packs of julienne soup, zucchini cream, pumpkin cream, pumpkin cream with dried meat, organic carrot cream and vegetable seasonings (potato, carrot and leek). The products contain no additives or preservatives.
