Coppola Patate

Crunchy potatoes with zero residues

Two highly innovative products are making their debut on the market, that of Zero Hero, the certified zero residue potato, and Fornatine, selected potatoes to be baked in the oven but crispy just like fried ones, and have already aroused the interest of both Italian and foreign operators in the sector, producers, buyers and consumers. With these novelties Coppola Patate's raised interest and new orders while attending the Fruit Logistica in Berlin.

This achievement encourages Coppola Patate to continue along this path, by analysing and anticipating a market increasingly oriented towards healthy and high quality products.

Other than dedicating time to growing and selecting the best potatoes, Coppola Patate is also involved in numerous research projects to improve environmental sustainability and produce healthier and tastier products.

Zero Hero, a certified zero residue potato, adheres to a production protocol that involves the entire supply chain, that goes from farms to intermediaries, to packagers and processors. Therefore, controls on residues involve both fresh vegetable raw material and the post-processing (packaged or processed).

All this results in certified products with residues below the limits of analytical determination (0.01 mg pesticides per kilo of product). Moreover, the chemical substances used are all registered, authorised for the specific crop and for the adversity to be combated, with low toxicity and non-hazardous to the antagonist species, with short deficiency times and supplied at the prescribed doses.

Among the advantages of a production process aimed at obtaining zero residue on crops is the adoption of integrated pest management techniques for crop protection, which are environmentally sustainable and have a low impact on the health of farmers.

On the other hand, the Fornatine are a selection of particularly crunchy potatoes that allow you to obtain the same taste as the fried ones, but with the benefits of baking.

Such innovations are good for the environment and the consumer and place Coppola Patate among the most innovative Italian companies in the industry.
