Johannes von Eerde is a new hire at Landgard

Structures in core region Landgard West reorganised

Johannes von Eerde will be appointed a managing director of Landgard West Obst & Gemüse LLC by 01.06.2020 at the latest. Von Eerde is 41 years old and a graduate engineer in the field of fruit and vegetable cultivation. As a graduate agricultural engineer, he gained experience in industry and marketing and then work for five years in Purchasing at the Rewe Group, most recently as department manager. Since January 2018 Johannes von Eerde has been Managing Director of Obst vom Bodensee Vertriebsgesellschaft.

"With Johannes von Eerde we are gaining a professional top manager with an international orientation. He will further strengthen the fruit and vegetable marketing in our core region -West- with additional impulses in terms of efficiency, process optimisation and internationalisation. It is precisely here -in the professionalism and commitment of our employees- that the most valuable capital of our producer cooperative lies, in addition to the services of our member farms," says Armin Rehberg.

Accompanying this new appointment, the first operative level below the management of Landgard West Obst & Gemüse LLC was reorganised. Since the beginning of the year, Kerstin Hartmann and Alexander Scheufen have been responsible as sales managers for vegetables, Arthur Heinze has now taken over the role of sales manager for fruit. All three are young executives of Landgard and have excellent experience in the industry.

"With Kerstin Hartmann, Alexander Scheufen and Arthur Heinze, we have assigned three young junior managers very responsible positions. This strengthens our team in the core region West, which is so important for Landgard. The central location in one of the most important growing areas in Germany, the Rhineland, guarantees quality, proximity and freshness in a wide range of products. This is backed up by around 350 producers in Core Region West alone, who supply fresh fruit and vegetables from controlled cultivation every day," says Labinot Elshani, Landgard General Manager Fruit & Vegetables.

As a further personnel change at the Bornheim-Roisdorf site, Sabine Kehm took over the position as Key Account Manager at Landgard Bio LLC at the beginning of the year. As a responsible market leader and producer cooperative, Landgard must be able to solve all challenges and problems concerning flowers and plants and fruit and vegetables for its member companies and our customers. The overriding goal is to achieve the best possible performance for customers and member companies on a long-term basis.
