Kipepeo GmbH relies on dried fruit specialities from Tanzania

"Dried exotics are not only nutrient-rich, they also finance development projects."

As a direct importer, Kipepeo brings organic and fair-certified dried fruit to Germany. The fruits are grown in Tanzania, harvested ripe and dried gently. Kipepeo is committed to the import of excellent goods and fair trade with partners and small farmers: the value chain in Tanzania is to be exploited to the best of its ability right through to the packaging of the fruit.

Thanks to many years of close cooperation with the producers, Kipepeo is flexible in the implementation of individual customer wishes and can order special products in addition to the standard slices of its dried fruits. "The dried exotics - the dried pineapple being particularly popular - are the ideal snack for in between meals, provide nutrient-rich energy and, with their production, create social structures that enable many people to participate in the project. Local development projects are financed and supported by a 5% Fair Trade premium surcharge," Markus Buban, contact person at the company, explains.

From pineapple to jackfruit
Kipepeo dried fruits have a pleasant residual moisture and are therefore even more fruity and softer than their competitors. An insider tip is certainly the dried baby banana, which stands out from similar products on the one hand because of its longitudinal cut and on the other hand because of its fresh fruity aroma and soft consistency. The Kipepeo classic is still the dried pineapple, which always surprises consumers with its exotic, intense aroma and makes them rave. Not to be neglected is the dried jackfruit, which in contrast to unripe processing as a meat substitute, is dried ripe fruits and gives the finished product a pleasant sweetness reminiscent of honey. The dried papaya is particularly popular with health-conscious consumers.

As raw food products, Kipepeo dried fruits from Tanzania contain many valuable nutrients and vitamins and can be stored for about 18 months. By the way, the 100g packs are ideal for "fair giving".

Worldwide organic partnership
Kipepeo LLC is a direct importer of organic products for the German and European specialised trade. In addition to Tanzania, the company has partnerships in the fresh fruit sector in Uganda, Thailand and Indonesia. The company works exclusively with small farmers.
