Bulgaria's total greenhouse vegetable production increased by 28.1% last year compared to 2017. This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Verginiya Krasteva, at the opening of the first seminar of the Bulgarian Association of Greenhouse Producers (BAPOP), held in Plovdiv and dealing with "Integrated Plant Protection in Greenhouses".
Last year, the country's greenhouse vegetable production reached 130,900 tons. At present, Bulgaria's total greenhouse acreage stands at 916 hectares, compared to 588 hectares in 2015," said the Deputy Minister.
