The holidays and vacations slowed demand for bananas almost everywhere. In addition, in some places the high prices slowed down the sales. On the one hand, the traders had to reduce their prices a bit, so that they could halt this trend.
On the other hand, the wet autumn weather and lower temperatures caused a sales push. As a result, prices could be fixed at least at a constant level. Locally they even rose for the entire range, but in some places the only rose for the second and third brands from Costa Rica. The focus of the customers was often on the secondary brands.
