Pumpkin grower Donnelly Fruit & Veg has signed a new contract with Aldi Ireland, ahead of Halloween. The deal is worth over €150,000.

This is the second year Aldi will sell the Dublin-based fruit company's pumpkins, which will be available across the discounter's stores from this Thursday, 3 October, with prices starting from €0.99.

“Aldi always aims to provide our shoppers with the very best in Irish grown fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices," said John Curtin, Aldi’s group buying director. "Partnering with Donnelly Fruit & Veg for this year’s Halloween pumpkins demonstrates this on-going commitment.”

According to checkout.ie¸ Aldi said that it expects to sell 50,000 Irish grown pumpkins this Halloween, which will be a 10% increase compared to 2018.
