Organic Food, stand L650 (Hall 14)

Bruñó showcasing its organic melon and its organic black seedless watermelon

The Bruñó family, a specialist in melons and premium fruit, will showcase its organic black seedless watermelon and its organic melon at Organic Food Iberia 2019. The two varieties are grown in a sustainable way and bring back the fruit's traditional flavor thanks to continuous innovation, while also achieving environmental improvements. The first fair for the organic industry will be held in Madrid IFEMA on June 6 and 7.

Bruñó, a company devoted to the production and distribution of high quality fruit based in Alcalá de Chivert, in the Spanish province of Castellon, will participate in the first international trade fair dedicated to the organic sector. For some time now, Bruñó's production processes have been oriented towards a more sustainable agriculture, innovating in environmental improvements and maximizing the use of natural resources. It is currently committed to food education adapted to today's culture.

Through its platform La Melonería, launched last year to host and report all innovations that the company is carrying out with melons, Bruñó wants to encourage organic consumption and the optimization of resources. It advocates to promote the most efficient use of food with the minimization of waste, achieving some form of "recycling" in the kitchen.

The Bruñó Organic Melon and Watermelon, which are obtained through the Competent Body's Ecological Certification, and which can be supplied from mid-June to the end of October, are among the innovations to be brought to the Organic Food fair. These products and other novelties will be showcased at stand L650 (Hall 14).

They explain that "we want to continue strengthening our position as a company at the forefront of innovation. Therefore, we choose to work in all links of the production chain, always looking for new varieties and using the most pioneering techniques." So far, the marketing of the organic melons has been carried out through supermarkets and specialized stores in the domestic market.

Bruñó and the constant search for innovation
Since 1977, Bruñó has been searching for the perfect melon. From the very beginning, Bruñó has been known for producing and supplying high quality fruits to its customers, focusing on melon, watermelon and citrus fruits (clementines, mandarins and oranges) and offering them all year round. During the Spanish spring and summer, the melon and watermelon production is entirely Spanish. In the autumn, it moves to countries with tropical climates, such as Brazil and Senegal, where the quality obtained is very similar to that achieved in our country.
