The potato and onion specialist, Antonio Ruggiero, informs us that he had no difficulty in finding seed potatoes for the crops to be grown in 2019. The President of the company declared to FreshPlaza the following: "We have increased the hectares destined to the growth of potatoes in Italy, and certainly not to pursue the contingent moment. Our objective, for a long time, has been to be able to offer a product which is 100% Italian".
The company proposes itself as the leader of a complex organized production system: "By drawing inspiration from the best existing practices and the highest standards, we have implemented our own production discipline, which is a real "Ruggiero" method, and proposes several guidelines to growers."

The company has also invested in increasing the number of technicians operating in the national territory and supporting farmers at every stage: "We have staked everything on quality, and the work we conducted was of vast proportions. We want the farmer to focus as much as possible on what he does best, because we take care of the technological and investment aspects of innovation".
The result of this approach is the creation of a cutting-edge complex: the company can count on 6 processing plants, of which two will be operational by the end of the current year.
"In summer, a plant will be operational in Luco dei Marsi, in Abruzzo, while by the end of 2019 we will be inaugurating another plant in Sabaudia, just a few kilometers away from our historic location. We will treat the potatoes as if they were fruits, avoiding bumps and damage. In Europe, we will be among the most technologically advanced operators. Finally, we are planning to launch new product lines and new packaging proposals".
