expoSE and expoDirect: 20 and 21 November 2019 at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center

275 exhibitors already registered for the two events

Around six months before the trade fair starts, 275 companies have already registered for trade fair duo "expoSE - the European Leading Trade Fair for Asparagus and Berry Production" and "expoDirekt - Germany's largest trade fair for direct agricultural marketing". Overall, the Association of South German asparagus and strawberry growers, organizer of the trade fair panel expects over 460 exhibitors from 14 nations and around 7,000 international trade visitors at the Karlsruhe Messe. Exhibitors of expoSE and expoDirekt will show their innovations in the realm of ​​asparagus and berry production in an area of more than 25,000 m2.

"Our preparations for both events are going very well. Compared to the same period last year, now there are 33 more companies -so around 14% more- determined to participate in the fair. This shows that there is a lot happening in this industry to tackle the challenges such as climate change, rising production costs and shortage of harvest workers. Our trade fairs offers a comprehensive overview of the market and a top-class supporting program for asparagus and berry cultivation as well as for agricultural direct marketing," explains Simon Schumacher, VSSE Board Spokesman.

To be seen for the first time at expoSE and expoDirekt
Of the exhibitors, 7% will present their innovative products and services for the first time. Strawberry picking robot manufacturer Octinion from Belgium and Reichhardt Steuerungstechnik (manufacturer of automatic steering systems) will be present at the expoSE for the first time. DCSI (Closed Cash Systems Provider), FarmTool Farmsoftware with Digital Systems and Weiß & Wellauer with the Palatinate Gourmet Salad Dressing are the first to complement the diverse and broad range of expoDirekt.

Innovation Award of expoSE and expoDirekt
The aim of the Innovation Award of expoSE and expoDirekt is to promote the production of asparagus and berries as well as agricultural direct marketing with innovations. Providers of new products and services can still apply for the Innovation Prize until 16 September 2019, provided that they are exhibitors of the trade fairs.
