Driving bans on Friday, 19 April, and Monday, 22 april

It will soon be Good Friday and Easter. In connection with these holidays, there are driving bans in place in the following countries:

Good Friday, 19 April

  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Luxembourg (i.c.w. the German holiday, only for transit Luxembourg)
  • Austria (A12 and A13 direction Germany, between 0:00 and 22:00)
  • Slovakia
  • Switzerland

Easter Monday, 22 April

  • Germany
  • France
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Italy
  • Croatia
  • Luxembourg (i.c.w. French and German holidays, only for transit Luxembourg. Luxembourg, as a destination, has no restriction)
  • Austria
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Slovenia
  • Slovakia
  • Spain (various road sections)
  • The Czech Republic
  • Switzerland

*Prior to this, a driving ban applies on the weekend.

There are more countries where Good Friday and Easter as celebrated. This means businesses may be closed. There are, however, no driving bans in these countries.
