Supply of butterhead lettuce increases slightly, prices are low

The supply of cucumbers increases every week, volumes have risen explosively in a short time. Prices are friendly to consumers. The holiday period means demand is falling slightly behind.

The weekly supply of tomatoes is rising, but still varies strongly from day to day. Prices at auction are decreasing, both for loose and vine. Courgettes have a normal availability for the time of year, prices at auction were better than a week before. The production of all colours of bell pepper is orderly. Prices for green bell pepper improved considerably, while red and yellow have slightly weaker prices.

Consumer friendly prices for chicory remain at the same level as last week. Chillier weather could encourage consumption. The domestic production of aubergines is similar to last year’s production. Auction prices have decreased. Supply of butterhead lettuce increases slightly, but prices are low. Auction prices of leek were decreasing in recent days, but availability is good. Leeks are getting larger. All prices of headed cabbage became more expensive.
