Transitioning to organic practices

Pomelos from Corsica on the market this week

For 10 years now, the Agrucorse company has been packaging and shipping the citrus fruits of some 30 producers selected for their expertise.

After the clementines last winter, it is the turn of the pomelos Star Ruby PGI of Corsica to transition to organic farming. Dedicated facilities are being built in Corsica, to welcome this new production in the best conditions.

“Most of our clients encourage us to convert part of our production and our producers adhere fully to this approach in their orchards,” explains Nathalie Thomas, commercial representative of the company. “Agrucorse continues to enhance its range of citrus fruits, with a strong progression and extensive technical work in the field to guarantee the quality of our fruits.”

“Agrucorse is committed to agroecology and the enhancement of biodiversity. Mainly by improving the regular and personalized monitoring of the plots, further limiting the use of treatments and by studying the fauna and flora of the orchards in view of their preservation.”
