The British Carrot Growers Association are underway organising the 2019 Demonstration Day which will be held at a field location near the village of Camblesforth (near Selby) and this year the event will kindly hosted by M H Poskitt and sponsored by AHDB. The event will take place on Thursday 3rd October 2019 from 9am to 3pm.
Building on the success of the 2018 Demonstration Day this year’s event will attract all those involved in carrot production from growers to the ancillary industry.
Not only will demonstrations of the latest varieties will be available to attendees but the AHDB SCEPTREplus carrot trials are being held at the site. Delegates can see the ongoing herbicide trials and quiz those who have carrying out the trials. Several other agronomy plots are available and will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The event attracts an excellent exhibition from the supportive wider industry, 32 companies attended last year and provided a great interactive opportunity for those who attended.
Entry is free of charge and refreshments will be provided. The event is registered for both BASIS and NRoSO points which will be available on the day. It’s an event not to be missed!
