Large retailers were the most affected by the Yellow Vests movement. Nevertheless, the Casino Group experienced 20% less blockage than its competitors. It does acknowledge a loss of about 50 million euros [56 million USD], which is 1% of the quarterly revenue, all branches combined, except for Cdiscount.
The most profitable of the Casino stores is Monoprix, which jumped by 5% in the last quarter. The Leader Price stores, on the other hand, are lagging behind, with -1.9%. The organic product sales remain a good source of revenue for the group, with an increase of 1.6% in the third quarter.
