The board of Fresca Group confirmed today that Nigel Trood, Managing Director of The Fresh Produce Centre Ltd and a board director of Fresca Group Ltd, is to leave the business. Nigel has taken this decision for personal reasons and will be relocating to Austria.
Ian Craig, Chief Executive of Fresca Group paid tribute to Nigel, explaining that:
“The companies in the group have all evolved significantly in recent years, but none more so than those at Paddock Wood where Nigel Trood has designed and implemented fundamental and positive change in the six years of his leadership tenure."
"He has brought innovation and energy, enabling his teams to develop and perform within a marketplace where there’s little certainty or predictability. Nigel has also been a very astute and supportive member of the Fresca Group board, providing significant input to aid the development and performance of our other Group ventures. I want to thank Nigel for everything he has brought to The Fresh Produce Centre and to Fresca Group, and to wish him well for the future.”
Ian Craig will be taking direct responsibility for the businesses at The Fresh Produce Centre and for DGM Growers. Trading and operations continue unaffected. A phased handover will take place during December.
