Last Saturday Belgapom held the biennial Belgapom party the night before the Interpom Primeurs. The party was held in one of the Xpo halls in Kortrijk, where Interpom Primeurs started on Sunday. Various stallholders and their families from throughout the potato sector were present at the party. They were able to enjoy various potato snacks, drinks and a walking dinner.

During the party the invitees were addressed by the General Secretary of Belgapom and President of the World Potato Congress, Romain Cools. After Romain Belgapom president Marc Van Herreweghe spoke by video call about the potato sector in 2018. The potato sector has had a lot to deal with this year, such as dry weather and the Colombian import ban.

After the serious words of the Belgapom president the fair was officially opened by Marc Van Herreweghe, Koen Brebels (Trais) and Marc de Beaufort (CIP) and it was time for music and opening the walking dinner. The party continued into the early hours.
