Livinda del Pirineu is a new range of Livinda apples, a premium quality brand of mountain apples that Grupo Nufri started marketing more than ten years ago in its plantation of La Rasa, in Soria.
The Livinda del Pirineu brand will be used for apples of the Gala and Golden varieties produced by the Nufri Group in Adrall, a municipality of the Catalan Pyrenees, located 650 meter above sea level. The new plantation, irrigated by the Valira River and close to the Sierra del CadÃ, is 5 years old and is located on lands that have already been used to grow apples since the mid-1980's.
This year, Livinda del Pirineu will sell about 200,000 kg of its apples, which have a unique color and aroma thanks to the characteristic dry climate of CadÃ, with low temperatures during the night and mild rises during the day.
Livinda del Pirineu has been launched with the aim of offering customers an exclusive, high quality local apple.
The second range, marketed under the Livinda Golden Russeting brand, is for Golden apples, which are exceptionally sweet this year, with an intense aroma and flavor, thanks to the weather conditions. The Golden Russeting is bringing back the appearance of traditional apples, with plenty of russeting on the skin and a flavor reminiscent of the past.
