Landgard reinvented itself completely for Fruit Attraction in Madrid

First-hand purchase of goods from Spanish and worldwide member companies in the foreground

At the Fruit Attraction event in Madrid, Landgard will showcase the benefits this Producer Cooperative offers to growers and retailers as partners with global strength, a regional and local presence, and intensive support. At the Landgard booth from October 23 to 25, 2018, everything will revolve around the core of Landgard's corporate success: the first-hand procurement of goods from strong member companies in Spain and around the world.

Landgard has bundled its services under the new umbrella of Landgard España, in order to make the most of these advantages for Spanish growers. As an international trade fair regarding fruit and vegetables, the Fruit Attraction is an ideal forum for Landgard, where the Producer Cooperative can present itself as a strong partner with international sales expertise and national support for its growers. It can show itself to be all that to more than 50,000 trade visitors from Spain and around the world, as well as nearly 900 other exhibitors.

New growers for year-round product availability
"In order to offer our customers a broad range of products throughout the year, we are always looking for promising new member companies in strategically important countries like Spain, who want to grow healthy along side us in a long-term partnership. We have already made great progress and today we have strong producers in all important Spanish growing areas," says Martin Baumert, Managing Director of Landgard Obst & Gemüse Holding GmbH, responsible for its member companies in Spain.

The overarching goal is to continuously expand the year-round availability of goods for retailers and consumers in Germany, and expand this into other product groups. Landgard already offers its customers not only the main products of the German Landgard producers, but also the goods of top Spanish producers in its own member companies. Core products are citrus fruits, stone fruits and soft fruits. On the other hand, Landgard also offers lettuce varieties or vegetables like peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, aubergines and tomatoes, directly from their own Spanish growers, before and after the German seasons.

Thanks to the first-hand purchase of goods, we offer our customers maximum availability of products with high quality standards, as well as offering our growers a long-term maximum sales reliability," says Martin Baumert.

Strong brands and creative added value concepts
In order to create new incentives to buy its products, Landgard continuously stages new sales concepts and license cooperations at the POS. Collaborations with strong partners, like this Fruit Attraction's -first-collaboration with the food specialists at WW or the successful cooperation with premium grill brand Weber, both internationally renowned brands, clearly differentiate the products of the Landgard member companies from the competition.

The sustainable and award-winning concept "IssSo" is directed against the food wastage and creates additional sales opportunities for products with optical defects. Through "Sunselect", Landgard presents a strong brand of high-quality fruits at the Fruit Attraction. The concepts and licensing agreements provide Landgard growers with added value for under-marketed products, as well as additional customer attention at the POS.
