Collaboration Agreement with two Catalan Nurseries for a number of new apple varieties

Consorzio Italiano Vivaisti in San Giuseppe di Comacchio will be attending the next trade fair, Fruit Attraction 2018 (Madrid, 23-25 October) for the first time with their own stand (Hall/Pabellón 3 - Stand 3 C08). The Chairman of CIV, Pier Filippo Tagliani explains that “The Madrid trade fair has reached its 10th edition and continues to confirm its recognised status as a strategic reference exhibition and connection hub between Europa, Latin America and the rest of the world. This is the main reason-why CIV took the decision to participate actively with its own individual stand in order both to fully exploit this fundamental opportunity of exchange and contact with the major players at an international level, and to present the very latest on our apple, pear trees and strawberries varieties”.

At Fruit Attraction 2018 “our goal - says jointly the Chairman Tagliani and the Variety Manager Marco Bertolazzi – consists on meeting the international buyers and operators to pursue a fruitful update on the current and/or future global collaboration based projects (growers/production/commercial) specifically focusing on those in Spain and Latin America. In fact, CIV is currently highly committed to boosting its presence on these specific markets. To pursue this objective, CIV has recently signed a collaboration agreement with two major Catalan nurseries, Tecniplant 2010 and Certiplant, within the scope of the Spanish peninsula and certain apple varieties, whose promotion activities and varietal development shall be coordinated by the independent agent Josep Cussò”.

CIV will be bringing all its very latest on apple, pear and strawberries varieties to Fruit Attraction. In Madrid,” concludes Tagliani, “we will present the full range of our production which is the result of a Research Programme built along a few key guidelines: natural rustic tree and vigour of the plants; good adaptability to both integrated and organic production, as well as, obviously, high-yield conventional cultivation; low environmental impact production thanks to tolerance to diseases and low water and feed requirements; top quality fruit with a distinctive flavour, optimal consistency and shelf-life characteristics”.
