Kompany starts construction at Fresh Park Venlo

Cucumber cooperative, Kompany, has started the construction of a new building at Fresh Park Venlo. Wijnen Bouw has started excavations and the posts have been erected. It is expected that the new building will be finished by mid-2016. The new building will be at the entrance to Gate 1, the northern entrance. The new building will have a 5,700 square meter refrigerated warehouse and 830 square meter office space on two floors.

"We have had plans for our own building for a while, but when we still had an employment agreement we did not have the opportunity to realize our building plans, and we always outsourced the storage and logistics side of the business," says adjunct director Silva Janssen-Voorbij. "It has always been our wish to carry out all operations from one central location that belongs to us. This allows us to have a more efficient, flexible approach in which we can more quickly respond to our customers wishes."
