Currently Guangxi bananas are entering the market. Since September this year, the Guangxi Gulf of Tonkin International Harbour Business Group started to use five cold warehouses specialising in the storage of bananas, under the name Yudong Cold Warehouses.
Currently thousands of tons of bananas are stored in the warehouses. When sales peak, bananas will be transported in refrigerated containers to solve the banana preservation problem.
In order to effectively extend the banana storage period, Yudong Cold Warehouses is setting up a whole distance cold chain. They are trying to change the business by entering bananas into cold storage during the bumper harvest and to replace the old transport vehicles with refrigerated transport. This way the bananas will be ready for entering the market.
