Lidl to move French buying division to Paris

Lidl is to move its French operational facilities to the Paris region lfrom its Strasbourg headquarters. The Schwarz Group-owned hard discounter is to separate its buying department from its administrative and back-office support in Strasbourg in order to develop relationships with French suppliers.

As part of a programme entitled ‘Made in France’, the retailer plans to strengthen its ties with suppliers in the country and boost the number of French exports to its various operations across Europe.

The initiative will see about 200 extra staff added between the offices over the next two years.
