Chilean shelled nuts exports grow 24%

According to information from the Chilean Walnut Commission, it is noteworthy that Chilean nut exports up to week 45 (tons equivalent in shell) show a variation of 2% compared to the 2011/12 season, while total volumes in net tons recorded a deficit of -10%. Nuts with shell exports show a variation of -26%, while shelled walnuts show +24%.

When considering shipments of nuts with shell, the deficit decreased -26%. For shelled nuts surplus decreased 33% to 24%, all compared to the same week of last season.

All this indicates a total of 22,040 tons during the 2012/2013 season, which is
equivalent to 10% below the previous season.
