Peruvian fruit pulp exports up 30%

According to the latest customs statistics prepared by the specialised portal Agrodataperu, between January and September this year, fruit pulp exports reached a value of US$ 15.6 million (FOB value); an increase of 30% in the monthly average (US$ 1.7 million) compared to last year's (US$ 1.3 million).

The report highlighted the shipments of avocado pulp, which reached a value of US$ 15.1 million at an average price of US$ 3.29/kg., followed by cherimoya pulp with US$ 261,000, and granadilla pulp, with US$ 156,000.

Regarding the main markets for the product, the list is led by the United States, with purchases valued at US$ 6.7 million (43% of the total), followed by Japan, with imports on the rise reaching US$ 2 million (13%) and Chile (11%).

As for the ranking of top marketers of processed fruit, Camposol tops the list with sales valued at US$ 6.1 million (39% of the total), followed by Sunshine Export with US$ 3.3 million (21%) and Agroindustrias AIB with US$ 2.1 million (14%).
