The acquisition of FORMIT will strengthen EKKO’s market presence in the food processing segment and together with EKKO’s existing design of complete production plants for vegetables for the fresh market, it will provide an unrivalled technology base from which to grow the business further.
Oy FORMIT Foodprocessing Ab will continue as an independent Finish company with responsibility for the processing sector, whereas EKKO Torbjörn Engelholm, Founder of FORMIT, and Kim Guldberg Petersen, Managing Director of EKKO, seals the deal at the IPA show in Paris. maskiner A/S will continue to focus in the design of machines and complete production plants, for the fresh market.
The acquisition will open new and exciting opportunities for EKKO and FORMIT. The cultural and strategic fit between the two companies is excellent. Both companies say they are customer oriented and desire to be the leaders in their areas.
