The Governing Council approved the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Environment and the firm Jesús Verón y Cia S.A. for the testing of certain peach varieties.

Both institutions are collaborating for the development of new species of the fruit obtained by the Government of Aragon's Plant Technology Unit with their cultivation in fruit-producing areas of the Region.

The Directorate-General for Food and Agribusiness Development has specific responsibilities for the coordination and development of agriculture and fruit growing in Aragon.

Jesús Verón y Cía S.A. has the title of Producer and Grader of Nursery Fruit Trees and is interested in local experimentation of new peach varieties obtained at the Region.
