Italy: Kiwi of Gioia Tauro ready for harvest
At the Italian farm Francesco Rodino' in Rizziconi (Calabria - Italy), the kiwi is ripe, and soon the harvest will start. According to the owner, "this year the season looks magnificent, with an abundant production and excellent quality."
The overall production of the territory of Rizziconi is well over 1,000 tons, of which 120 are cultivated at the Rodino' farm.
"We sell directly and without constraints and contributions to OP-producer organizations. Therefore, anyone interested in buying the product can contact us by email and maybe come in Calabria, as our guest, to personally evaluate the result".
The fruits this year are excellent in terms of size, Brix and absence of disease.
"Of course - said the owner - the high organoleptic characteristics of kiwi product in the Plain of Gioia Tauro, at the center of which Rizziconi is located, are well documented, I do not have remind you that these fruits are among the finest in the world."
