Germany: Not a good week for strawberries

The supply of German strawberries saw a strong drop in week 38, making way for Dutch and Belgian produce to hit the markets. According to BLE, the quality of the fruit wasn’t ideal. The color, and in particular the taste left something to be desired, causing a decline in sales.
Prices varied from 0.8 cents for strawberries lacking in quality, and 2 Euro for protected crop.
