The carrot packing shed is used for six months of the year.
The hydro-cooler and washing system is unique to Premium Fresh.
The ice machine is used to cool the water, the carrots need by cooled quickly and packed before being shipped long distances.

The intake system removes 90% of the dirt from the carrots and is separate to the inner area.
Carrots get cleaned again.
30 tonnes an hour can be processed, the water is refreshed every few minutes.
The bags are transferred to the crate by hand.

Premium Fresh grow a range of vegetables including beetroot.
Onions are a big product for Premium Fresh. They are left to dry in the field for 10 days before being brought here, sorted and sized. They are then transferred to these containers for storage.
Onions are proudly bagged as Tasmanian product.
