A Fruit Show is organized by the Italian Fruit Tree Research Center twice a year. Last show has taken place on september 29th 2007.
The show is gaining growing interest every year.
Many visitors are specialists in fruit production and in the selection of new varieties.
Prof. Romualdo Coviello has welcomed the visitors. Mr. Coviello is chairman of the national Agricultural Research Council (CRA)
Prof. Luigi Conte works as a breeder by the Fruit Tree Research Center in Rome. He has presented some new peaches and nectarines varieties. He and his colleague Prof. Antonino Nicotra have selected some years ago a very interesting peach, which is completely white and which is called Ghiaccio (= Ice).

A section is also available, where some ancient, rare and peculiar Italian fruit varieties are shown. These varieties enable breeders to preserve the genetic richness of Italian fruit.
