Across Russia, 594,300 tonnes of mandarins have already been imported since the beginning of 2025, nearly half of them from Turkey. In November alone, 120,660 tonnes of fruit arrived in the country, mainly from Turkey, China, and Morocco.
Siberian Federal District:
According to the Siberian Customs Directorate, more than 19,200 tonnes of mandarins worth RUB 1.7 billion were imported into the Siberian Federal District in the first ten months of 2025, 1.5 times more than a year earlier. The main receiving regions were:
- Krasnoyarsk Krai: 10,600 t (55%)
- Irkutsk Region: 4,600 t (24%)
- Novosibirsk Region: 2,000 t (10%+)
Supplies came primarily from China, as well as South Africa, Turkey, Morocco, and Egypt. Shipments peak in December, with most volumes entering Siberia in Q1 and Q4.
Tyumen Region:
Analysts expect that the surge in supply may push December retail prices in the Tyumen Region down by 5–10%, driven by peak harvest seasons in Turkey and Morocco. Turkish mandarins were trading wholesale at RUB 75–85/kg in November. Spanish and Greek citrus remains expensive (RUB 500–700/kg) due to sanctions and logistics constraints.
Moscow Region:
On 26 November, an 18.1-tonne shipment of Chinese mandarins destined for the Moscow Region was found contaminated with Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata). The fruit was disallowed for entry and subsequently fumigated on 1 December.
Kamchatka Krai:
By 2 December, Kamchatka had received 122.2 tonnes of Chinese mandarins: 1.7 times more than during the same period in 2024 (70.6 t). Seasonal growth is evident: 7.1 t arrived in October and 13.5 t in November. All consignments passed inspection and were cleared for distribution.
Primorsky Krai:
From January to 4 December 2025, 22,600 tonnes of mandarins were imported into Primorsky Krai. Of this amount:
- ~20,000 t came from China,
- 1,700 t from Pakistan,
- 788 t from South Africa,
- 184 t from South Korea.
No shipments arrived from Argentina or Egypt this year. All consignments passed phytosanitary checks and were cleared for import.
