Rabobank has announced the recipient of its 2025 Rabobank North America Leadership Award, naming Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. during its annual Leadership Summit in New York City on December 4.
The award recognizes a North American market participant for responsible growth and business performance. Rabobank stated that Fresh Del Monte was selected for its work across production, marketing, and distribution of fresh and fresh-cut fruit and vegetables.

According to David Bassett, Head of Wholesale Banking North America at Rabobank, "Fresh Del Monte exemplifies what true leadership looks like in today's fast-changing landscape within the food industry."
Fresh Del Monte operates in more than 80 countries and engages in product development, technology adoption, and farming practices that the company says support its long-term strategy. Its initiatives also include biodiversity programs and community support efforts.
Fresh Del Monte Chairman and CEO Mohammad Abu-Ghazaleh said, "We are honored to receive the Rabobank Leadership Award. He added that the recognition reflects the work of its global team and noted that the company will continue to invest in innovation.
The company has introduced new products in response to evolving consumer preferences, including the Rubyglow pineapple and the Pinkglow pineapple.
Finalists for the award were reviewed by an independent panel representing industry, academia, non-profits, media, and investment sectors. The selection was based on a defined set of criteria assessing how companies address current global market conditions.
