Traceable Mexican mango shipments launched for U.S. market

A new initiative has been launched to introduce traceable mango shipments from Mexico to the United States through the DiMutoClear Trade Management platform. The project, operating under the SoLumi Fresh brand, aims to digitalize the mango trade process and improve transparency and traceability across the supply chain.

The shipments are part of DiMuto's Marketplace program, linking Latin American mango growers directly with verified buyers in the United States. By using DiMutoClear, each stage of the mango trade, from harvest to logistics, is recorded and verified, integrating trade documentation, inspection results, and shipping data into a single system accessible to all partners.

The platform allows growers and buyers to access verified information on product quality, food safety, and origin. The system also seeks to streamline export procedures, enhance operational visibility, and improve coordination between stakeholders.

The SoLumi Fresh program includes a utilization strategy for mangoes that do not meet export standards. These are processed into frozen mango products, reducing on-farm losses and creating an additional income stream for producers. The initiative is designed to address food waste challenges by repurposing surplus fruit for the frozen market.

For growers, the program offers access to broader markets and the opportunity to generate value from fruit that might otherwise be discarded. Buyers benefit from traceable shipments backed by digital verification, while consumers gain access to products with documented origin and quality standards.

According to DiMuto, the initiative contributes to the wider goal of improving efficiency and sustainability within the global fruit supply chain. The data collected through DiMutoClear is used to enhance trade management and strengthen the reliability of transactions between exporters and importers.

Gary Loh, founder and CEO of DiMuto, said: "With the launch of traceable mango shipments from Mexico to the United States powered by DiMutoClear, we are not only enabling end-to-end transparency and visibility across borders but also helping our SoLumi Fresh growers capture more value. By using DiMutoClear to verify quality and manage every step of the trade, we are able to convert non-exportable mangoes into SoLumi Fresh Frozen Mango, reducing food loss while delivering trusted, sustainable options for global buyers."

The initiative underscores ongoing efforts within the agri-food industry to integrate digital solutions that enhance traceability, reduce waste, and improve efficiency in global trade.
