Perth Markets will host its annual Back to Market Buyer's Day on Thursday, November 20, to mark the start of Western Australia's stone fruit season. The event, held at the Perth Markets site in Canning Vale from 6:00 am to 8:00 am, aims to reconnect fresh food retailers and service providers with the state's wholesalers.

The gathering will include information stalls, complimentary refreshments, and a guided Chef's Tour led by Perth Markets Ambassador Rachael Torre of Wholefood Circus. The tour will offer participants an overview of the wholesale market's operations and provide an opportunity to meet growers and traders involved in WA's fresh produce supply chain.
Perth Markets Chief Executive Officer Scott Gibson said the event highlights the role of the markets as a key meeting point for buyers, wholesalers, and growers across the state. "The Perth Markets have always been more than a place to buy and sell produce; they're a meeting point for our industry," he said.
Gibson added that the event helps maintain connections within the local supply chain and allows businesses to directly engage with producers. "By coming together, buyers, wholesalers, and growers strengthen the local supply chain and ensure Western Australians continue to enjoy the freshest, highest-quality produce," he said.
The annual Buyer's Day serves as a networking opportunity for those involved in Western Australia's fruit and vegetable trade, promoting cooperation between wholesale and retail sectors ahead of the summer produce season.
