Armenia boosts fruit and vegetable exports by 13.8%

Armenia's agricultural exports rose by 13.8% compared to the same period in 2024, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on Thursday.

According to the Prime Minister, exports of several key crops recorded sharp increases. Apricot exports rose by 25.5%, plums by 61.1%, peaches by 87.1%, cherries by 123%, pears by 245%, tomatoes by 12%, peppers by 62%, cabbage by 843%, and eggplants by 72%.

Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan reported that grape processing volumes also expanded. "Approximately 211,000 tons have been processed," he said. Last year, the total harvest volume reached 164,200 tons.

The export growth reflects increased trade activity across Armenia's fruit and vegetable sectors, with strong performances in both stone fruit and greenhouse vegetables.
