Poland conferences to address fruit, vegetable, and viticulture

The 16th Fruit and Vegetable Industry Fair (TSW 2026) will take place in 2026, in Kielce, Poland. The event attracts growers, researchers, advisors, and industry representatives from across the continent. For the first time, the fair will be held on Friday and Saturday to allow broader participation from both exhibitors and visitors.

TSW 2026 will feature six main conferences covering fruit, vegetable, and viticulture production, alongside topics in protected cultivation. The program includes the XVI Fruit-Grower Conference, XII Strawberry Conference, IV Berry Conference (raspberries and currants), XVI Vegetable Conference, III Under Cover Conference, and II Viticulture Conference.

At the Under Cover Conference, speakers including Dr. Dorota Łabanowska-Bury, Dr. Beata Komorowska, and Tomasz Krasowski will address plant protection, greenhouse diseases, and developments in vertical farming and Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA). Sessions will also focus on sustainable vegetable production methods and strategies to reduce pesticide residues.

The Viticulture Conference, led by Prof. Magdalena Kapłan from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, will bring together experts from Poland and the Czech Republic. Topics include grapevine diseases, modern training systems, and yield management under changing climate conditions.

A new feature of the 2026 edition will be the "Fruit Grower of the Year 2025" competition. Open to Polish fruit farms, the award will recognize quality, innovation, and sustainable management. Winners will present their operations and outcomes during the fair.

According to the organizers, further details on the remaining conferences and speakers will be announced in the coming months.

TSW 2026 is expected to provide a platform for exchange between research, practice, and business, with an emphasis on production technologies and adaptation to current challenges in horticulture.

The fair will be held at Targi Kielce, a venue with transport connections to Warsaw and Krakow. January 23–24, 2026 (Friday–Saturday).
