Ahold Delhaize USA reported: "Ahold Delhaize USA announced that it has been named a winner of The Shelby Report's 2025 Sustainability in the Food Industry Awards. In partnership with The Campbell's Company, Ahold Delhaize USA is supporting potato farms to implement regenerative farming techniques to create more resilient agricultural systems and reduce emissions through soil health practices. The initiative covers 1,000 acres, corresponding with the approximate number of acres used annually to grow potatoes for Campbell's potato chip and soup products sold in Ahold Delhaize USA brand stores".

US: Brookshire Grocery to buy 2 Oklahoma supermarkets
Brookshire Grocery Co. has agreed to acquire two Uptown Grocery stores in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, the Texas-based supermarket operator announced. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The locations, which are in The Village and Edmond, Oklahoma, will become Fresh by Reasor's stores following a conversion process set to begin on October 22.

dunnhumby reported: "dunnhumby announced Buc-ee's as the top U.S. retailer in the Convenience Retailer Preference Index (RPI), a comprehensive, nationwide brand equity study that examines the approximately $860bln U.S. convenience market. Buc-ee's outperformed the other 40 convenience stores surveyed, scoring 17 points higher than Sheetz, which ranked second on the RPI. PepsiCo earnings top estimates as international markets fuel sales growth
PepsiCo reported fiscal third-quarter earnings and revenue that topped Wall Street's estimates. Net sales rose 2.6% to $23.94bln. Stripping out acquisitions, divestitures and foreign exchange, Pepsi's organic revenue increased 1.3% in the quarter.

Finland: S Group's sales in January-September grew from the previous year
S Group reported: "In January-September, the retail sales before taxes of S Group's supermarket trade totalled EUR 8,140.6mln. Compared with the corresponding period in the previous year, sales grew by 2.7%. Favourable weather conditions boosted the grocery trade sales during the third quarter. In particular, the heatwave in July increased the demand for the summer season's products such as drinks, ice cream and barbecue products.
