Amenduni focuses on reducing operational downtime

Avocado oil after-sales network broadens in East Africa

The avocado oil sector has experienced significant growth in recent years, driving a notable rise in companies specializing in the processing of waste from the fresh fruit supply chain. Among these developments, Amenduni Spa, an Italian manufacturer of oil extraction machines, has unveiled its strategy to expand technical assistance services. This expansion is particularly critical in a highly seasonal industry, where timely support can significantly impact operational efficiency and product quality.

The company's global footprint begins in established markets such as Mexico, the world's largest producer of avocado oil, where operational dynamics have recently stabilized. "We have a service center in Mexico with technicians specializing in mechanical and electrical support to ensure prompt after-sales service," explains Aldo Pesce, the company's Sales Export Manager. The technical network also extends across South America, with technicians based in Peru and Colombia. These countries form the continent's primary production hub due to the high volume of oil produced annually.

Over the past three years, East Africa has emerged as a focus area, driven by commercial and political factors encouraging investment in avocado oil infrastructure. In response to this growth, the company has installed and brought into operation more than 40 production lines across the region.

To reinforce its proximity strategy, the company recently opened a warehouse in Kenya, which is at the heart of Africa's avocado oil production. The warehouse is stocked with spare parts and tools to ensure a quick response to customer needs. The most recent development involves southern Tanzania, where a new service point is set to open in the coming weeks. This area is quickly becoming one of the world's leading avocado oil production centers, attracting significant investment and showing promising production forecasts. Aldo Pesce, the sales export manager, states: "Immediate assistance and expertise from qualified technicians with over 20 years of experience in the sector are therefore essential for operators in this region."

The company's objective is to support the industry and guarantee the best customer experience. Efforts focus on minimizing machine downtime and providing highly efficient after-sales service. "This strategy is complemented by our ability to deliver machines faster than any other company in the industry, thanks to our production facility's organization in Bari, Italy," concludes Pesce.
