Uzbekistan’s lemon exports grow 7.1% in first half of 2025

In January–June 2025, Uzbekistan exported 1,908 tonnes of lemons, worth US$3 million, according to the National Statistics Committee. This marks an increase of 127 tonnes, or 7.1%, compared to the same period last year, largely due to higher shipments to Kazakhstan.

Russia remained the main destination with 1,087 tonnes, followed by Kazakhstan with 734 tonnes, Kyrgyzstan with 82 tonnes, and other countries with 5 tonnes.

In June alone, Uzbekistan shipped 168 tonnes of lemons, primarily to Kazakhstan (131 tonnes), with smaller volumes to Russia (36 tonnes) and Kyrgyzstan (1 tonne).

The average export price for the period was approximately €1,480 per tonne.
