According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, vegetable production in 2024 totaled 134,300 tons — a 5.4% decrease compared to the previous year. In contrast, potato production rose by 12.1%, reaching 221,100 tons.
While overall vegetable yields declined, the average potato yield improved to 15.6 tons per hectare. The average yield for other vegetables stood at 10.2 tons per hectare.
Meanwhile, Georgia's fruit sector experienced significant growth. Excluding grapes and citrus, total fruit production reached 243,600 tons — a 25.2% increase year-over-year.
Production by fruit type included:
- 89,700 tons of pome fruits (+46.8%)
- 77,100 tons of stone fruits (+22%)
- 52,400 tons of nuts (+14.7%)
- 16,700 tons of subtropical fruits (−10.7%)
- 7,700 tons of berries (+32.8%)
In addition, grape production rose sharply by 45.7%, totaling 321,500 tons. However, citrus output declined by 22.7%, amounting to 55,400 tons.
