Kyrgyzstan has substantially boosted its berry exports to Kazakhstan and Russia. According to the Ministry of Agriculture's press service, since the beginning of this year, the country has exported 6,236.3 tons of berries, marking a 37% increase compared to the same period last year.
In the first eight months of 2024, strawberry exports reached 4,616.6 tons, up by 20.5% compared to last year. Raspberry exports also grew significantly, increasing by 36.4% to 1,470 tons. Additionally, 150 tons of blackcurrants were exported.
Beyond berries, Kyrgyzstan's plant product exports also showed positive dynamics. From January to May 2024, 236,572 tons of quarantine-controlled products were exported, an increase of 28,280 tons compared to last year.
