Since the beginning of May 2024, customs officials in the Krasnoyarsk region have reported a significant rise in the importation of seasonal fruits, amounting to over 900 tons. This figure marks a 1.8-fold increase compared to the same period last year. The fruits imported include apricots, peaches, plums, cherries, and melons, primarily sourced from China.
The Krasnoyarsk region has received more than 8,500 tons of imported fruits and vegetables since the start of 2024: zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, carrots, lemons, mandarins, pineapples, and others. The volume of imported produce directly from abroad has surged 4.8 times compared to last year.
The Amur region has also experienced a notable increase in fruit and vegetable deliveries following the launch of the Kani-Kurgan customs checkpoint. From May 30 to July 1, the region received over 10,000 tons of produce, more than twice the amount received in June of the previous year, according to the Federal Service for Surveillance. The imported goods include potatoes, tomatoes, onions, garlic, beets, cabbage, and carrots, as well as fruits such as peaches, nectarines, watermelons, grapes, passion fruit, apricots, plums, pears, and pineapples.
In total, from the beginning of the year to July 1, more than 39,000 tons of fruits and vegetables have crossed into the Priamurye region via the international bridge over the Amur River.
