SAO MAI Agro is a relatively new exporter of fresh and processed fruit from Vietnam, the company specializes in mango, pineapple and passion fruit.
"This is our first year of market expansion," said Ahn Tran from the company. We typically grow our fruit in the highlands of Vietnam, where the climate and soil conditions are ideal for these crops."
SAO MAI Agro has a dedicated cultivation area of 1,000 hectares for passion fruit and pineapple in the highlands, working closely with local growers to ensure a steady and high-quality supply of fruit.
"Our production has fortunately not been significantly impacted by the recent droughts in Vietnam. We anticipated such challenges and implemented water reserve strategies and other measures to mitigate the impact of drought. This proactive approach was a key part of our plan when we decided to develop our plantations in the highland regions."
"Our target export markets include various countries in Europe, Asia (with a focus on South Korea and Japan), and the Middle East."
