Greek authorities found 46 kilos of cocaine in a banana container

Greek authorities intercepted 46 kilos of cocaine concealed in a banana container on a ship at Piraeus port, according to police. This follows Greece's announcement of dismantling an international cocaine trafficking network operating from Latin America to Europe.

The operation, involving the US Drug Enforcement Administration, previously uncovered 210 kilograms of cocaine in a frozen shrimp container from Ecuador destined for Albania, and another 110 kilograms hidden in frozen squid. The estimated value of the cocaine found Tuesday is around two million euros. Investigations continue to disrupt this international drug trafficking operation and explore connections to other cases.
